Radiologist

Healthcare

Dunedin
Radiologist preferably with a subspecialty area of interest and wanting to work in the lower South Island

World-class facilities.  Premier lifestyle.  A future that matters.

Balance your career with a lifestyle and location that ticks so many boxes, come to Dunedin or Invercargill to develop your Radiology career further.

Dunedin the second largest city in the South Island; a region of unique landscapes and fascinating cultural history.  Known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, Dunedin wears its Scottish heritage with pride.  Surrounded by dramatic hills and at the foot of a long, picturesque harbour, Dunedin is one of the best preserved Victorian and Edwardian cites in the Southern hemisphere.  If you’re after a lifestyle of surfing, hiking, and mountain biking Dunedin has it or if you’re after amazing wildlife and dramatic landscapes Dunedin has that also.

Or, Invercargill the city at the tip of the South Island.  Housing amazing sweeping landscapes, unique museums, quirky attractions and the home of the delicious oysters.  Invercargill is also one of the top places in New Zealand to spot the famous pink and green Aurora Australis (Southern Lights).

This employer is looking for a Radiologist preferably with a subspecialty area of interest.  You will join their well-respected and friendly radiologist team, with equally respected and experienced imaging staff, alongside their strong technical and administrative teams.  The role will involve multimodality general radiology reporting. MSK imaging and interventions, or breast imaging would be an advantage (training provided for Breastscreen Aotearoa), but all enquiries are welcome.

The successful candidate will provide high quality, patient focused radiology services. As well as exceptional clinical skills, you will be a good communicator and team player. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including radiologists, MITs, and nurses, and have regular contact with referrers.  They want their Radiologists to possess a true passion and commitment to the people of their region.

Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, they are one of New Zealand’s largest leading private radiology companies with branches across the country.   Committed to their purpose of world-class radiology, delivered locally they provide exceptional imaging, reporting and contract services to their communities.

Their employee benefits include:

  • A generous competitive remuneration package including health insurance, extensive leave entitlements and regulatory and indemnity costs covered
  • Funding and support for professional development opportunities
  • Flexible working to create a great work/lifestyle balance
  • Opportunity to brainstorm with exceptional peers across the organisation
  • Wellbeing incentives including Southern Cross health insurance

Your workday will include:

  • General diagnostic multimodality reporting performed according to a weekly roster
  • Access to and leading multidisciplinary meetings, case review and case conferences
  • Great on demand case review support from the local radiologists
  • Performing high-quality diagnostic imaging to their published protocols and standards
  • Delivering compassionate, considerate and professional patient care
