About the role:
This organisation is seeking an experienced Customer and Stakeholder Manager to represent their transport team in building strong and resilient relationships with the local community, clients, and other key stakeholders. As Customer and Stakeholder Manager, you will be leading engagement with stakeholders and the local community- providing timely, informative project updates and supporting the Customer Advisor in dealing with enquiries. You will also support the team in meeting the needs of our customers by having an innovative solution-focused approach.
You’ll work closely with the Transport and Construction team to identify communication risks and opportunities and develop communications and stakeholder engagement plans for complex projects. Further undertaking the responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the day-to-day operations of the stakeholder team.
Other responsibilities include:
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports
• Ensure satisfaction surveys are conducted, reviewed and necessary actions taken
• Content writing, particularly good news stories to be shared on various internal and external social media sites
• Leading internal communications such as toolboxes, team engagement activities, etc.
About you:
• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in one or more of the disciplines within the portfolio
• Proven experience in community engagement and providing excellent customer service.
• Previous experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Experience working in the public service either at a local or central government level
• Ability to problem solve and provide communications support and guidance to the team
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with high attention to detail
• Ability to communicate and empathise with people – a real people-person with a positive attitude!
• Driving licence is essential
