Waste Water Treatment Supervisor

About this Role:

This role offers a great opportunity for a Waste Water Treatment Operator. In this role, you will lead the Wastewater treatment operators (South), supervise them in their duties and lead the team in the management of WorkSafe and quality control systems.

You will work in an environment of clearly defined policies, principles and objectives, following routine and semi-routine standardised processes. You will be required to find solutions for issues within the existing frameworks.

This diverse position offers a variety of tasks that will utilise your meticulous attention to detail and high levels of energy. You'll thrive in our collaborative environment and embrace the challenges that come with this vital role.

Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Leading the wastewater operations on five days of the week and weekends as rostered, with a requirement to cover on call.
  • Ensuring that wastewater services are operating efficiently and economically and meet the needs of their users.
  • Ensuring that resources and personnel are utilised effectively and in accordance with organisational objectives, as well as making sure that relevant records and analysis are maintained daily.
  • Providing specific assistance services related of OSH(Occupational Safety and Health) and quality assurances.
  • Sampling according to schedule.
  • Servicing equipment according to maintenance schedules.
  • Proactively porting problems and inefficiencies and proposing solutions as well as daily monitoring and recording of treatment plant operational data.

To excel in your new role, you should bring:

  • A current full driver's license
  • Practical knowledge of water supply pumping stations and treatment systems
  • Proficiency in conducting day-to-day maintenance on water monitoring instrumentation and plant equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • An unwavering commitment to providing safe and healthy water to our community at all times
