About this role:
You will get to assess and provide rehabilitation to clients with a variety of injuries or disabilities, minimising barriers which may impact their ability to work, live independently or engage in the community. You may work across a combination of community and vocational rehabilitation, paediatric service and also private referrals (depending on location). If you have experience or interest in Concussion Management, Mental Health, Pain Management Services this can be advantageous. Your work will include:
- Rehabilitation assessments and visits – clinic, workplace, and community settings
- Liaising with case managers, internal panels, and other team members
- Providing expert advice on clients' abilities and a plan with clear goals for their rehab journey
Capabilities and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with Occupational Therapy Board New Zealand and valid annual practising certificate*
- Professional Membership (OTNZ)
- Greater than 2 years’ clinical experience
- Current full NZ/AU driver’s licence (clean)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well unsupervised and autonomously
- Well-developed interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships
- Technology savvy – use of systems databases, Microsoft Office, Smart phone, Dictaphone
