This employer is looking for a skilled individual who will play a pivotal role in optimizing maintenance operations and plant reliability with their motivated engineering team based out of Milburn, in the stunning region of Otago!
As Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in advancing the planning/scheduling of maintenance activities, contributing to the development of a library of work packs for repeatable tasks and use your expertise in maintaining and utilizing CMMS systems, and implementing advanced analysis functions to enhance overall plant reliability.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will cover:
Maintenance Planning:
- Full management, maintenance and quality assurance of CMMS systems.
- Identification, development and implementation of equipment modification/reliability enhancement work.
- Creation of key site operational procedures and information for maintenance work packs, including the development of maintenance resource library.
- Establish resource schedules and labour costs against maintenance plans, ensuring adherence to budget and duration.
- Conduct change management requirements for major maintenance projects or repairs requiring configuration change.
- Assist in managing maintenance contractors.
- Analyse maintenance trends to identify continuous improvement opportunities and additional remedial or upgrade work.
Maintenance Scheduling:
- Responsible for leading maintenance work/tasks resolving emergent scheduling conflicts.
- Physically check work packs, permits, spare parts and contribute to the final plan of maintenance activities, ensuring maximum efficiency for both routine and shutdown tasks.
What they are looking for in the ideal candidate:
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in SAP/CMMS system with a high level of computer literacy
- Basic CAD drawing skills an advantage but not essential
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve with a 'can do' attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to cope with pressure and work independently and as part of a team
