About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join growing counselling team. As a Counsellor, you will provide emotional support and guidance to individuals in need of assistance. You will be part of a wider team that works together to help those in need, while gaining valuable experience in the field of mental health. This is an excellent chance for someone who is passionate about helping others and wants to make a difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic and emotional support to clients  in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Respond to client enquiries in a timely fashion, offering advice and guidance as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and secure
  • Monitor the progress of clients on an ongoing basis, adjusting plans accordingly to ensure positive outcomes
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals as required, keeping them informed of any changes or developments in the client’s situation
  • Adhere strictly to professional codes of conduct at all times

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Possession of a current practising certificate in Counselling
  • Knowledge of current legislation and ethical practice in the healthcare sector
  • Ability to manage challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Computer literacy including knowledge of MS Office Suite & other relevant software packages
