About this role:
In this role, you will be working for a market-leading manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic components, power units, and systems that cater to the diverse and individual needs of mining and industrial sectors.
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will:
- Ensure all HSE procedures are followed, and all incidents are reported accordingly
- Serve existing accounts by analysing work orders, conducting tests, and resolving problems.
- Provide service by studying system requirements, completing installation, performing acceptance tests.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, recommending system improvements, and maintaining customer confidentiality.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Inform the Service Manager when the job is ready to be invoiced.
- Explores sales possibilities with customers utilizing his scope of specialty and by utilising cross-departmental specialists.
- Work with engineering, sales and/or other units to resolve issues/problems that may arise.
- Provide accurate completion of service documentation including having Service Reports signed by the customer or the customers authorised representative.
- Read and interpret hydraulic circuits/schematics.
- Strip, assess, report, rebuild and test hydraulic components.
