Headquarters based in Auckland NZ, we have an exciting opportunity available for an energetic and team orientated Hydraulic Service Manager, with a main responsibility of Planning, Coordinating and controlling the activities of the Service Team to maintain Customer Satisfaction.
Job Description
Reporting to the NZ General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to meet the organisational and operational targets for the performance of the Service Department with an emphasis on safety, customer service, generating sales, quality, reliability and productivity. Being the integral role within the business, this role will be responsible for:
- Service Sales (drive existing strategies, visit customers, sell service products like maintenance contracts)
- Quality (Lead time, NCR, Customer feedback, Quality action list, Calibration, testing and tagging, certification, Tool listings)
- Supervise employees, contractors and visitors as required from HSE and Quality perspective.
- Ensure all relevant licenses, tickets and inductions are current.
- Meet with customers regularly to support new business and developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Persuading customers that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
- Developing new strategies, plan future growth, resource and personnel planning
- Ensure profitable and sustainable service growth.
- Ensure Employee Training (competence management) is up to date
- Ensure Target for Turnover is achieved
- Able to work autonomously, in an often high pressure environment, where there is ownership of key customers
- Ensure all HSE procedures are followed and all incidents are reported accordingly
Qualifications
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of supervising a large team of trade and technical staff. Additionally, you will have:
- A relevant Trade Certificate
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Competent level of hydraulic and SAP knowledge
- High Focus on Quality and attention to detail
- Analytical/ Problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organisation
- Ability to plan, organise and coordinate the completion of multiple tasks efficiently
- Dynamic performer and achiever
