On behalf of our client, a boutique and premium financial investment firm, The Pond is looking for a Writer and Editor to join their high-performing and friendly team in Takapuna. This role sits closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and requires a high level of writing skills, attention to detail, a journalistic mindset, and the ability to develop compelling ideas and complex insights that will manifest into palatable and engaging digital, print, editorial, and feature stories.
The successful candidate will take charge of all communication outputs. Creating and delivering editorial and communications content that elevates the brand in a competitive marketplace but, most importantly, connects, educates, and engages professional audiences. You’ll know how to collaborate with other senior professionals yet be able to demonstrate confidence and autonomy working in an open environment.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for generating content ideas and writing and editing content for all channels, including thought leadership, opinion pieces, articles, EDMs, and investor magazines. The breakdown
We are looking for a Senior Writer & Editor with:
- Min 5+ years’ relevant experience
- A preference for working in a dynamic and boutique company
- A journalistic background will work in your favour (but not essential)

- Writing, developing, and editing compelling content for digital, social, and print channels
- Contributing and helping develop editorial themes
- Confidently generating content ideas for the finance and investment categories
- Collaborating with fellow senior creatives and professionals to deliver engaging content
- Managing your own work pipeline to deliver different projects simultaneously and at pace
- Working with respected business leaders to deliver premium content
