The Role
A full-time, permanent role based in Wellington, where you’ll contribute to shaping the commercial direction of major, long-term initiatives, including substantial digital transformation programmes. You’ll be part of a small, high-performing team that thrives on collaboration, innovative thinking, and delivering quality outcomes.The commercial team applies deep subject matter expertise to strengthen contract practices, build meaningful partnerships, and set a high bar for commercial excellence in the public sector.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of six years experience in procurement, public sector experience is highly desirable.
- Proven record of success in navigating complex procurement processes and large-scale ICT projects.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think strategically and adapt flexibly.
- Experience delivering end to end commercial activities covering procurement.
- High proficiency in producing procurement documentation for high-value, high-risk initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, suited to a range of audiences.
- Experienced engaging with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders across both government and industry.
- Proficiency in the application and principles of government procurement rules.
