Headquarters based in Auckland, they have an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated and energetic individual with appropriate skills to enter as Sales Engineer Factory Automation (FA) at their East Tamaki office, in Auckland.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Market and Customer approach, ongoing Sales development and ensure that company operation and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved and customer delivery deadlines are met.

In this role, you will be:

  • Searching for new customers who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions
  • Developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements
  • Persuading customers that a product best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs
  • Calculating customer quotations and administering customer accounts
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education and after-sales support services
  • Reporting and analysing Sales & costs
  • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects
  • Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets customer needs
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Helping in the design of custom-made products assembled here in NZ.

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in Sales (Linear / Servo / Safety/ Automation Equipment etc)
  • Possibly a formal qualification in either Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Prior experience in multinationals, manufacturing and sales organisations using SAP based ERP and CRM advantageous.
  • The successful candidate needs excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to think on their feet and operate autonomously.
