This employer is looking for a full time Sales Consultant, specialising in technology, to be based out of either of their Rolleston or Ashburton branches (Canterbury, South Island).
They are a leading supplier of John Deere equipment throughout the South Island. Through their extensive network of branches, they supply a range of quality brands to the agricultural, golf, construction, and forestry industries. They are a company that are passionate about their people, their customers, and their industry.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to grow their business in the exciting and rapidly developing agritech segment. You will work closely with their team to bring new products to market and contribute to their success.
Requirements:
- They are looking for a motivated individual who possesses the following:
- Proven experience and knowledge of modern technology, machine applications, and operational practices in the agricultural industry
- A strong understanding of, and passion for, the farming industry
- Familiarity with modern machinery management technology systems
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills
- Commitment to high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism
- A strong work ethic and ability to take ownership of tasks
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
You will also have an interest in sustainable farming practices, be familiar with agronomy and understand the challenges their customers face due to increasing business complexity and compliance pressure.
Experience in equipment sales is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- This is a busy and varied role that will cover their customer base across the South Island. Your daily routine will involve the following:
- Providing professional advice on the suitability of agricultural equipment to customers and their internal staff
- Building and expanding customer relationships through networking and client development
- Acting as a brand ambassador, actively promoting all aspects of their business, and increasing market share for all products
- Adhering to company policies and procedures while maintaining accurate sales documentation
- Conducting equipment demonstrations and customer events
- Implementing and maintaining regular call cycles
- Supporting and advising customers on their technology needs
- Complying with all health and safety requirements
Additional Requirements:
Regular travel around the South Island is required for this role
