Our client is a NZ owned and operated creator of very smart advanced digital linking radio communications products which are flying out the door, particularly in the US market Utility sector.
The company is experiencing huge growth and their well-established local team of experts across hardware, software and testing are working hard to provide high quality delivery to their global clients.
The role:
This role is based in Christchurch. As the RF Team Leader your portfolio includes high quality product design, working collaboratively with software, hardware, firmware and testing services as well as the production team.
The role responsibilities include the day-to-day operational management of the RF team, including all aspects of RF circuit design from initial concept to implementation and testing.
You will also be responsible for input into the technical direction and technology platforms of projects within the RF team.
You will influence the design and introduce new processes across development and release, using Agile methodology and enable the team to maintain a Centre of Excellence.
You will be a mentor and motivator to your team, enabling them to be the best they can be, allowing them to grow personally and professionally.
What you will need:
- A passion for leading multi-disciplined engineering teams.
- Broad experience in TX and RX subsystem design i.e. mixer, IF and RF filter, LNA, PA, VCO etc.
- Familiarity with modelling and simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with network analyser, spectrum analyser, oscilloscope, and other relevant RF test and measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of duplexer and antenna design.
- Analogue circuit design experience.
- The ability to mentor and coach your team to deliver high quality outputs.
- Mature communication skills and the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
