About the role
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic evaluations and testing of products, while providing assistance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic evaluations and testing of products according to established protocols and standards.
- Assist with GMP inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the quality team to identify and resolve any quality-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all evaluations, tests, and inspections conducted.
- Communicate any quality concerns or deviations to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in sensory testing of meat products, including meat products such as beef and Bacon
- Work collaboratively with the compliance coordinator to ensure all paperwork and HACCP requirements are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
This role would suit an outgoing person with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report any quality issues. Also required
- Ideally have a food science or science related tertiary education.
- Previous experience in a similar quality role is preferred.
- Familiarity with handling paperwork and HACCP procedures is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
- Knowledge of GMP standards and internal auditing processes.
- Sensory testing experience, particularly with meat products, would be advantageous.
