Quality Control Analyst

Great opportunity for an exceptional Quality Control Analyst to join a growing pharmaceutical company.

This employer is a leader in the development and supply of innovative animal health solutions. Founded in 2011, they lead the way in the development and supply of parasite control solutions to veterinary practices around the country.  As they continue to grow their market in both NZ and Australia, a need has arisen for a talented Formulation Scientist to join their team.

The Role
Due to business growth, a career opportunity for a Quality Control Analyst in East Tamaki has become available. An experienced chemist is being sort assist with a wide variety of competencies from routine analytical testing to non-routine investigations, utilising a good working knowledge of GMP quality assurance methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Check production batch records and inwards goods shipments to ensure compliance to GMP and license approvals.
  • Undertake routine testing via HPLC of a wide variety of active pharmaceutical ingredient materials, excipients and finished products.
  • Ensure out-of-spec results are documented and investigated via Laboratory Investigation Reports and/or Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Participate in internal and external audits (ACVM, APVMA).
  • Conduct stability testing when required.
  • Occasional requirement to assist method development team and non -routine analytical investigations.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors or similar qualification in Chemistry.
  • In depth experience using HPLC, in a pharmaceutical testing laboratory.
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical GMP, GLP and the ability to follow written SOP’s.
  • Capable of working independently and productively with minimal direction.
  • A strong attention to quality and accuracy of results.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of quality assurance processes.
  • cGMP, ACVM, APVMA experience will be an advantage.
