Reporting to the Managing Director, this full time role is critical in managing all aspects of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance and Food Safety. You will see yourself working closely with manufacturing teams in ensuring the business meets the highest level of quality standards and compliance requirements at all times. Your ability to work well with cross-functional departments and practical approach to matters at hand will be admired across the business.
What will you be doing?
- Understand and implement regulatory requirements where needed ensuring facility is compliant at all times
- Lead all operational audits
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems
- Manage customer complaints and lead investigations
- Conduct gap analysis and develop training programmes
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to conduct a thorough root cause analysis on non-conformances to drive sustainable corrective and preventative actions
- Work on continuously designing and improving systems, documents and processes
What skills and experience do you bring?
- You will have a tertiary qualification in Science or related
- Minimum 2 years managerial/leadership experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control or similar role in a food, pharmaceutical, infant formula or similar industry. Meat industry experience is highly regarded
- You will come with a demonstrated history of managing documentation and have an eye for detail
- Ability to be proactive, flexible, multitask and manage your time effectively
- Passionate about quality, documentation, standards and integrity
