ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for providing clear leadership of staff such as supervisors, project engineers, technicians, subcontractors to ensure that they have a sound understanding of project goals and achieve desired technical, commercial, and financial outcomes
You will be responsible for a variety of work including planning programmes of work, all health and safety documentation and site auditing, quality documentation collation and completion with site supervisor assistance.
The projects vary in size and scope and will be responsible for around 6 projects at any given time and predominantly be working on the Orion network .
This role will also require management of financials for the projects and monthly forecasting, and the management of multi-skilled teams.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will need to have proven work experience and qualification in high voltage (above 33kv) and Industrial/Generation industry are desirable. Ideally with PMI certification or similar qualifications and has demonstrated experience in project management for a minimum of 5 years in the Distribution, Industrial, Generation industries.
They will need to have experience in building, motivating, and managing effective teams of professionals and have the demonstrated ability to supervise capital projects in excess of $1M (approx.)
Other skills and experience
- Demonstrates familiarity with Interpreting, evaluating, analysing plans, diagrams and sketches provided by consultants, clients, designers and technicians; Relevant industry and government codes and requirements associated with Electrical Services projects; Client service specifications
- Time management, Report writing, Multi-tasking, Cost management and Forecasting, Risk analysis, Planning and Programming of work, and Negotiation skills.
- Must have fluent written and verbal English skills.
- Familiarity with and demonstrated adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the Transmission / Generation / Distribution Industry and Broadspectrum.
- Continuously up-dates necessary skills and knowledge as required for this role .
- Valid driver’s license and experience driving appropriate vehicles in all road and weather conditions.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Project, Word, Excel); JDE/ SAP experience is an advantage
