The role:
Your role as a Work Stream Project Manager in the IT space is to work at a high level within a team of over 140 people on a new and exciting project. Our client is seeking to upgrade their current ERP solution to ensure a more dynamic, fit for purpose business solution across their businesses. If you have solid ERP implementation experience and are seeking to work with a diverse, knowledgeable group of individuals then this role could suit you.
This contract position (on-going contract) will be responsible for planning and overseeing the deliverables / tasks within the workstreams on a large implementation project that will go for close to four years. Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability is a daily focus. You will also manage the detailed work plans of all tasks to be achieved to meet milestones in the programme plan and work with the workstreams to understand and help manage resource constraints, issues, actions and risks within the workstreams. Reporting to the Programme Technical Director and working with the Programme Manager in a succinct manner is essential when tracking workplans and understanding any areas falling behind.
There are presently two roles available in this IT space.
- Projects (big projects including construction/maintenance & Utilities and small projects including labour, services, jobs, and plant)
- Manufacturing/Inventory + Transport
Due to the changes in the employment world they are understanding of a hybrid model of working. Busy lives and families now need flexibility and they can support you with working in an office and from home at times.
Based on the Nationwide presence of our client, if you can travel to one of their local depot’s you can likely work anywhere in the country.
What you will need:
- Minimum 7 yrs. (preferably more) project management experience, ideally in an ERP upgrade/implementation
- Analytical skills to be able to identify risks and solve any problems which may arise within the workstreams
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
- Excellent stakeholder management
