About the company
We are proud to be working with NZ's preeminent precast and infrastructure supplies company to source an experienced and people-centric project development manager to deliver practical and technical expertise in bringing its bespoke sales efforts to life for the end-customers and main contractors.
About the role
Working across the national engineering, design and sales teams, this role is a multi-functional role which is crucial in the successful implementation of bespoke precast, concrete and engineered solutions for tier 1-3 contractor clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on this privately owned, proud Kiwi company, a role suited to someone who can talk the site lingo working with construction clients at conceptual stage, understand practical challenges that may arise, and ensure the design and application of the solution meets the highest standards.
Whilst you'll sit with the sales team to keep them on their toes and ensure they don't sell solutions that can't be delivered, you'll report into the national engineering and design teams so you can link the technical speak with the practical.
About you
You may be a project or site manager seeking a fresh challenge after years on site. You may be tired of all the overtime, but don't want to relinquish the salary which has handcuffed you to the place for so long.
Similarly you may be a concrete/precast technical engineering or sales expert that can communicate at all levels, and who seeks a change to a new environment.
Either way, this role will allow the right person to keep your hand in practically, whilst assisting the business to deliver bespoke solutions across all levels of projects right across NZ, while offering a "normal" 40-45 hour week, with no Saturdays.
Key Requirements:
- An appropriate Civil Engineering qualification
- Relevant industry experience in civil/construction sales/technical/site work (3-5 years)
- Strong understanding of engineered solutions and commercial acumen
- Excellent technical knowledge and expertise with systems, component products, construction methods and applications associated with the industry
- Experience in technical products and demonstrable results driven success.
In return you can expect a market competitive salary commensurate with your experience plus a TOT vehicle, medical insurance (after 6 months) and annual bonuses.
