Production Supervisor

Our client is Aotearoa's leader in materials and energy recovery. Their work in disposing of NZ's hazardous waste goes somewhat unnoticed to the everyday Kiwi and we now have the exciting opportunity to find a Production Supervisor to join their fabulous team in Rotorua and Tauranga!

This is not an ordinary supervisory role; you will see yourself splitting your days across two sites as you see fit. You'll be working in hazardous chemical facilities, a role that is critical to the everyday running of the site by ensuring employees and contractors are always performing tasks safely, maximising daily output and utilisation of labour resources for this really interesting plant which is critical to NZ businesses, households, and key services we all utilise everyday.

We are looking for a driven and motivated professional who is seeking to develop their career in a wide ranging and unique role. We require someone with prior supervisory experience and ideally someone who has solid work exposure in multiple environments.

Key responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Coordinate and maintain shift arrangements and working schedules
  • Achieve planned production performance by coordinating activities with quality control and maintenance staff
  • Participate and comply with stock take procedures
  • Attend and contribute to Weekly Operational Reviews
  • Provide expertise and support to the team and management, whilst ensuring there are no environmental or safety incidents.
  • Ensure site is always compliant with relevant environmental authority requirements such as consents and licenses.
  • Liaise with on-site chemists and provide direction to operational staff to facilitate treatment activities and processes for incoming material.

Whilst hours of work are 40 hours per week, there maybe some overtime required from time to time.

In return for your experience and qualifications, a salary in the range of $80,000-90,000 will be on offer (commensurate with experience) for the right candidate along with a company vehicle.
