The Role
The Production Manager will be responsible for leading a growing production team and developing production capabilities and capacity, the role is tasked with scaling production as the business accelerates its growth globally. The ideal candidate has experience leading a growing production team, developing production strategies ideally for high growth companies, implementing continuous improvement that have had a material impact on the business, managing food safety and quality in high compliance, food manufacturing or dairy or beverage sector. This is a very 'hands on' role managing multiple responsibilities including Production, Planning, Quality Management, Health & Safety with a consistent focus on Continuous Improvement across the business.
The core responsibilities will include:
- Management & leadership of the production team
- Overseeing the manufacture of food products
- Develop and improve processes to achieve maximum productivity
- Programming/Planning – maintaining accurate up to date production schedules, setting and maintaining of manufacturing standards
- Oversight on raw material ordering, tracking, storage
- Manage repairs and maintenance
About you
We are seeking a proven Production Manager, ideally with:
- Minimum of 5 years of production experience, ideally in food, dairy or beverage. Ideally, you’ve had minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Innovative thinker, ability to recommend solutions
- Be self-motivated and have a ‘can do’ attitude!
- Positive, team friendly, hardworking person – a go-getter!
- Champion of Health & Safety and experience in implementing best practices across the workplace
- Appreciation for and understanding of food safety and food quality.
- Someone who is up for a challenge, reliable, resilient; have strong attention to detail
- Great people management skills are also essential.
