Plant and Equipment Manager

This employer is seeking a Plant and Equipment Manager to work with their thriving and busy Electricity and Gas team business in South Auckland.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the P&E Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring all projects are fully staffed with the right skilled tradespeople and the equipment to delivery results.

This role will be working closely with Project Managers to identify staffing needs and requirements for each project.  You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling of personnel and equipment to ensure all projects are fully equiped.

You will build and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and other key partners and manage the procurement of materials to ensure all necessary supplies are available for each project.

You will use technology and project management tools to monitor project progress and allocate plant and equipment as needed as well as identify areas for optimization, cost savings, and efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

This role will also be looking after compliance regulations relating to staff, equipment procurement, and ensure supply chain management are adhered to.

ABOUT YOU

As the successful candidate, you will need to have relevant experience in Plant and Equipment management in a similar role. You will need to have high attention to detail, strong organizational and problem solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, people management, and negotiation skills.

You will need to be familiar with project management tools and software. Knowledge in electrical or infrastructure services would be advantageous. SAP experience is also preferred.
