ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, this role will take charge of the planning and outage functions for the Regional Service Contract 5 with Transpower.
They will support the Operations and Service Delivery Manager in planning discussions with the client as well as look at ways to make our planning process more efficient, including use of technology.
They will be responsible for developing, monitoring, reporting, and amending all planning necessary to undertake maintenance works in an efficient manner consistent with KPI and contractual targets. There will be a focus on longer term planning as well, from 6 weeks to 2 years.
Other key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain necessary planning and procedures, to ensure all planned work meets or exceeds timeframes, deadlines and budgeted margin.
- Planning of works to align with allowed budget.
- Monitor and report on performance of all Maintenance works.
- Prepare response for Transpower’s 2-Year Work Plan, and other longer term planning activities.
- Be up to speed with current and long term outages
- Provide back up to Planner/Planning Coordinator/Outage Coordinator as required
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the relevant industry, previous planning experience is an advantage, whether overseas or in New Zealand.
They will need to have functional and technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment, and are knowledgeable in current and possible future technology, practices, trends, and information affecting their business area.
Other requirements
- Excellent computer skills i.e. MS Office, SAP, Maximo, IONS would be an advantage
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Customer focused with strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
