This employer is a full-service caterer. Their client base and events portfolio spans a wide range of events from weekly networking Groups, through to large Festivals.

They have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team in this key leadership role. This role will ensure quality standards throughout the business and an excellent experience for clients. They will oversee food and beverage service for both retail and events.

The ideal Operations Manager will have people management experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow through and execute on projects.

The day-to-day responsibilities in this role include:

  • Overseeing the Site Managers at each site and driving these business units to ensure great service and profitability
  • Managing contracts
  • Overseeing/managing all events (Larcomb and out catering)
  • Supervising and running events
  • Arrange R&M for all sites as needed
  • Ensure EFTPOS/POS runs effectively
  • Manage H&S across these business units
  • Manage the Food Control Plans with the Site Managers for these business units

To be Successful in this role you must be/have:

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience in hospitality environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in negotiating contracts
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be hands on - assisting with day-to-day operations
  • Be proactive, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for excellence.

Along with your office being located at the stunning Winery, you will be provided with a laptop, phone (or phone plan) and a vehicle for use while at work.

This role will require some flexibility as the successful candidate will be required to work some nights and weekends as the business requires.
