Manufacturing Team Leader - Afternoon Shift

Team leader opportunity working on automated filling lines for a rapidly growing FMCG company on the afternoon shift.

About

This employer is a rapidly growing FMCG manufacturer based in Glen Innes offering a range of beverage production from both their own brand as well as contract manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Team Leader and Operator to run a filling line on their afternoon shift.

The role involves:

  • Oversee a team of 10 staff to accurately set up and running of the filling line to achieve daily KPI’s and targets.
  • Utilise technical skills to complete preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring downtime/breakdowns are minimised, whilst also acting as the first line of communication between production and the engineering team.
  • Ensure that production meets health and safety, food safety and quality standards including the completion of all relevant documentation and audit preparation.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of production processes through reduction of down time and wastage.
  • Collaborate with others within the business to identify training and development needs and assist with the coaching of production staff to optimise efficiency within the wider team.

About you:
With previous experience running a small team in in a food manufacturing or FMCG role (running automated high-speed lines), you will also have:

  • First-hand knowledge of running filling lines, ideally with Krones machine experience.
  • Have the technical understanding to be able to operate and train others on machinery, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues and adjust as required.
  • Previous experience working within a GMP environment and operate in line with quality systems.
  • Be a hands-on leader who can jump in to assist the team and lead from the front.
  • Have well developed soft skills and ability to communicate to all levels of the business while motivating production support staff.

The hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10.30pm with overtime as required.
