About the role
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical maintenance technicians to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment within the facility. The role will require the successful candidate to work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth running of all operations across this multi-site organisation.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical maintenance technicians
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure maximum uptime of all equipment.
- Drive and manage the MEX CMMS System to ensure accurate asset management and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, providing effective solutions
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Manage and maintain equipment documentation and maintenance records
- This role is expected to step up and be a proxy to the Engineering Manager when absent.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance leadership role
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of GMP, MPI, and other relevant regulatory requirements
