To be successful in the role you must be......
- An experienced Loss Adjuster / Assessor with a reputation as a respected competent Adjuster or
- Someone with highly transferable skills keen to embark on a career as a Loss Adjuster for example from a Claims background, the construction industry or project management
- Be confident in negotiating claims for property loss or damage
- Have excellent communication skills and have a high level of industry knowledge
- Have excellent attention to detail and be confident in preparing accurate reports for insurers or willing to learn
- Be able to manage your own work load and be committed to delivering exceptional service in all aspects of the claim process
- Have good local knowledge with the ability to build strong commercial relationships in the Wellington area
- Willing to support the owners in Business Development
Your day to day responsibilities will include…..
- Assessing and negotiating claims for property loss or damage
- Meeting policyholders to investigate and assess the loss
- Reporting to insurers
- Liaising with contractors and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Delivering excellent service and prompt claim response
- Arrange and supervise repairs as required
