Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer based in East Auckland which has been providing a range of food products to New Zealand for over 50 years. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a line setter to oversee the setting and operation of a filling line.
The role involves:
- Accurate and timely set up and running of the production line to achieve daily KPI’s and targets.
- Utilise technical skills to complete preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring downtime/breakdowns are minimised, whilst also acting as the first line of communication between production and the engineering team.
- Ensure that production meets health and safety, regulatory and quality standards including the completion of all relevant documentation and audit preparation.
- Ensure continuous improvement of production processes through reduction of down time and wastage.
- Identify training and development needs and assist with the coaching of production staff to optimise efficiency and develop a high functioning team.
About you:
While previous experience in a similar role is necessary, our client considers “attitude” to be equally important. You should have well developed soft skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to reach all levels of the business. This includes the ability to build a natural rapport and motivate wider production team whilst also providing the engineering team with relevant technical information as necessary for diagnosing breakdowns with minimal downtime. you will also have:
- First-hand knowledge of setting up and running filling and capping machines.
- Have the technical understanding to be able to operate complex machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as required.
- Previous experience withing within a GMP environment and operate in line with quality systems with a strong focus on documentation.
- You take pride in your production career and view line setting as a valuable milestone as you develop your leadership skills.
- Have a strong sense of urgency and ability to react quickly to breakdowns and prioritise tasks.
