What type of junior is this employer looking for?
They are looking for a dynamic, professional and ambitious recruitment coordinator with a minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a client or customer facing role.
This person will have an interest in human resources, recruitment, or enjoy people management as a career path. Ideally, they have also had some exposure to the creative, design, digital, tech, marketing, media industries.
The ideal person will have established their own personal brand with unique career goals and some experience to match. They will be familiar with achieving consistently high service levels, conscientious business practices, together with energy, style, and flair – all wrapped up in a ‘winning’ attitude.
This junior will have excellent administration, planning, and organisational skills, some commercial acumen and be able to stay motivated when working in an open plan office. They will also be hands-on, and action orientated. The ability to adapt and manage workloads against evolving small business priorities, and coordination support of multiple client recruitment projects is vital to success in this role.
This role would suit someone with a high level of energy and enthusiasm who likes to be in a team, have an opinion, and sees themselves supporting the interest of candidates being put forward for job opportunities.
This role is a newly created junior position working alongside a recruitment director, who will offer daily mentoring, training and full guidance in the role. In this role you will visit clients weekly and sit in live interviews daily.

Some key responsibilities are…
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication: writing candidate recommendations and pitching talented candidates with flair and passion
- Organisation and administration: confirming bookings and interviews, scripting talent briefs, advising on recruitment processes and overall administration
- Numerical skills: excel, ability to negotiate rates and salary structures, calculate margins, and work to KPI targets
- Interviewing and working alongside candidates to develop their career goals, while providing sound support and advice
- Supporting a senior recruitment consultant in daily admin
- Writing, preparing proposals, data entry and invoicing
- Using initiative and being highly pro-active
- Making client and candidate phone calls
Essential skills
- Some interest and knowledge of marketing, creative, and digital industries
- A great collaborator and communicator
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Very familiar with Mac computer systems
- Skilled in Xcel, Word, Google Docs, and Keynote a bonus
- Can get on the phone and hold a conversation
- Happy to express an opinion or point of view
The Package:
- $55k-$65k plus Kiwisaver (experience dependent)
- 4.5-day work weeks, finish 1:30pm Friday
