Based in the heart of the Manawatu Region of New Zealand, our client has a longstanding international reputation as a reliable producer of high quality Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s) and Pharmaceutical Intermediates supplied to global markets.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to and supporting the Senior HSE Advisor, this hands-on, production based HSE Advisor role will actively champion our clients HSE principles, policies and procedures, whilst working in a supportive and friendly environment.
This role will work alongside and communicate closely with operators as well as site leaders, monitoring, reporting and improving standards, compliance and planning across the site, as well as assisting return-to-work coordination, incident management, whilst actively promoting HSE education and training.
About You:
We seek applications from candidates who are willing to learn and put their recent HSE and/or Environmental Management qualifications into practice in this graduate level role, or someone who is looking to expand their HSE Career after time in a manufacturing setting. To excel in this role, you will ideally have the following skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HSE and/or Environmental Management
- A ‘can do’ attitude, able to work collaboratively with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships
- Knowledge of HSAW Act 2015 and HSE frameworks and standards
- Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment would be an advantage, as is prior HS representation in any form.
- Excellent MS Office computer skills
