Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) Advisor

Serving clients nationwide, our clients are on the lookout for an experienced and driven HSEQ Advisor to champion their safety, quality, and environmental systems across all areas of our business.

The Role

As the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving their compliance with ISO 45001 (H&S), ISO 9001 (Quality), and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards. You’ll work across project sites, manufacturing operations, and installation teams, helping to embed best practice, improve performance, and ensure safe, consistent delivery of work in a high-risk construction setting.Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will play a critical role in auditing, training, investigating, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Provide practical H&S support to project and site managers across all business units
  • Manage and improve our ISO-aligned H&S Management System
  • Lead and support incident investigations, site audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
  • Maintain SiteWise, Totika, and ISO accreditation and industry compliance
  • Oversee and enhance our Quality Management System across design, production, and installations
  • Support environmental compliance and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Drive a strong safety and quality culture through engagement, training, and reporting

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role within the construction, manufacturing or industrial sector
  • Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field and/or NZ Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NZQA Level 6 Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety Practice) preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 systems
  • Confidence working across teams with a hands-on, practical and solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills to support a safety-first culture
  • Additional training in incident investigation, risk assessment, or continuous improvement (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous
