About the job
Essentially this is an operations management role where you'll take responsibility for the effective leadership and management of a 45-bed facility that provides rest home, hospital care, respite care and palliative care. You will work with residents, their families and staff ensuring quality support and care is delivered. Areas of accountability include:
- Financial management of resources, budgets and rostering;
- High levels of service to residents and their families including customer service, provision of care, communication and liaising with external agencies
- Leadership of people - you will manage, mentor and coach
- Risk Management and Health & Safety
Skills and Experience
First and foremost you will be a great leader. An open communicator, with high integrity; You’ll demonstrate a commitment to people, quality, safety and improvement. In addition you will have:
- Proven experience managing an integrated aged care facility and retirement village (Ideally but will look at someone willing to step into this sector/level of responsibility).
- Has the ability to foster positive relationships with residents, family members, and employees
- Strong clinical background is preferred (perfect for a CNM wanting to grow into an overall business operations role)
- Experience in audit management and is able to ensure that the facility is compliance-focused
- Ability to build strong networks with the local community and key stakeholders
- Staff management experience, including the management of rosters
- Monday to Friday (some on call component)
