About this employer
This employer is a Marina based in Hobson Bay Auckland, servicing launch and trailer boat owners. Just two minutes' drive east from the CBD. The location allows vessel owners a quick getaway to the wonderful Hauraki Gulf islands.
They are looking for an Events and Promotions Manager to join their small and supportive team.
About the role:
This role will require someone who is personable and has amazing knowledge of social media, using your initiative to come up with creative content and engagement, as well as promoting events for their members.
- Be available to manage events out of hours occasionally.
- Managing all the Media and Communication for the Club, including all; written, email, Social Networks, Website and Details for the Outboarderer (third party publication)
- Dealing with Sponsors & being their main point of contact
- Managing the existing events calendar, including third party and volunteers
- Promoting events to club members and bringing them together for functions
- Setting, managing, and working within budgets for Events
This is a full-time role working 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

To be successful in this role you will have a "go and get it" approach to life and will bring enthusiasm, innovation, and creativity to the role. You will also have:
- Previous experience in events, promotions, or a similar role
- A can-do attitude
- An eye for detail
- Strong collaborative skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and social media platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
