About the role:
They are seeking an experienced estimator with a proven track record in assessing, pricing and specifying repaint contracts. Alternatively you’ve owned your own business and have experience in estimating paint jobs (pricing, access + methodology, specifying what products to use).
This position will be a key role within our lower North Island team, (this role can be based in Tauranga or Hamilton) and you will predominantly be servicing the lower north island, with travel to other regions as required.

What you would need to succeed:
To be successful in this role you will have a painting background, have exceptional technical knowledge of paints/coatings, be commercially astute and be able to demonstrate your ability to estimate the painting of commercial buildings. You should also be comfortable working with technology. The ability to estimate using an assessment method, as opposed to measuring, will be regarded highly. Former hands-on experience as a painter is not critical but would be advantageous.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have the following attributes:
- 5+ years estimating experience and background in repaint work
- Technologically savvy
- Effective time management skill
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and practicality
- Confidence in your ability
- Experience working in the painting sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and Commercial acumen
- Confident in explaining technical concepts in simple terms
- Able to develop and cultivate strong customer relationships internally and externally
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, CRM systems and other platforms
