About the role
Your role will be to provide a single point of coordination for all of our related services, and communications, ensuring that our emergency related services are quality, safe and cost effective. These operations are across Wellington, Porirua, Kapiti and Wairarapa. In addition, this role also leads the Health and Safety function for the organisation.
We have just completed an external review of its health and safety function with a number of recommendations that will be required to be worked through as an action plan. This will be a key initial focus of the role.You will be level-headed, remaining calm when under pressure, and be able to work in a time critical environment. These attributes alongside your strong communication skills will hold you in good stead to work alongside funders, stakeholders, management, and the wider team.
You will also have:
- Proven operational logistics experience to deliver resources to stakeholders in a high-pressure, time critical environment.
- Experience in health emergency response operations.
- Experience in health and safety
- Proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office
- The ability to clearly articulate information and technical instructions
- Understanding of the relevance and impact of culturally appropriate service provision and how culture influences behaviour both internal and external to the organisation
- A full, clean drivers' licence
It would be advantageous to have an Integrated Training Framework (ITF), or minimum CIMS level 3 and 4 Qualification and/or a Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) (or be working towards).
