Digital Marketing Specialist

About the role

Trade Me Marketplace is where consumers and merchants alike buy and sell millions of items each year. Our awesome Marketplace Marketing team in Wellington is looking for a skilled, passionate and customer focused Digital Marketing Specialist. You'll be responsible for planning and executing a range of marketing campaigns and initiatives across our key channels (email, campaigns, always-on and content) to help achieve our Marketplace strategic objectives to grow audience, inventory and revenue.

Here's what you can expect from this role:

* Lead and execute campaigns from brief to execution and optimisation across a number of paid and owned channels to drive key buying, selling, and product metrics.

* Lead and execute the Marketplace email function including writing copy, building in platform, execution, testing and reporting.

* Manage our owned channels updating website and app content regularly with a focus on promotional and seasonal lead messaging.

* Execute on the Marketplace blog content activity including SEO optimisation - creating a content plan, briefing articles and collaborating with other team members producing content.

* Deliver consistent and insightful reporting of campaign results, including in depth analysis to suggest improvements. Test and iterate to get the best results, striving for continuous improvement

* Use your excellent writing skills to gather, develop, and write content for various channels with the customer benefit always at the forefront.

* Build strong relationships and work with various internal stakeholders to bring marketing campaigns to life - including Design, Product, Sales & Supply, Brand, Comms and other Trade Me wide business units.

What you will bring to our team:

* 3+years' experience in a digital marketing or marketing role planning and executing campaigns and emails in market

* Strong written and verbal communication with a flare for copywriting - experience in SEO is advantageous.

* Experience using marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Content Stack,Marketo or Braze (or similar CRM/email/automation/insights platforms) is a bonus.

* A data driven approach for measuring marketing initiatives, interpreting trends and to take learnings to iterate and improve performance of initiatives.

* A great attitude, paired with a natural ability to partner and collaborate with other teams

* A recognised marketing qualification is desired with a degree as a bonus, but not a prerequisite.
