Customer Support Rep - Building Industry

We are proud to be working with one of New Zealand's leading suppliers, manufacturers and innovators of world-class building solutions. We're on the search for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team in a unique and varied role!

About the role
Working as part of a high functioning team, we are seeking a resilient, service minded people-person to join the team where you will be dealing with customer queries, issues, and solutions in a role servicing metal, aluminum joinery and glass fabricator customers. It would be a bonus if you already have windows and doors exposure or experience but if not, you can learn about their products whilst on the job. The most critical part is having a willingness to learn, being open to feedback and allowing time to get to grips with the technical nature of the products that they supply to their customers.

The Hours
Whilst the team primarily serves its customers between 6am - 5:30pm, this role could fold in somewhere within this range, to a maximum of 40 hours per week. There is some over time required on occasion as a general expectation of the role - though this is not common.

What you will bring

  • An enthusiastic attitude and a great work ethic
  • Previous experience in an industrial related customer service environment such as; aluminum, glass or building/construction sectors
  • An excellent communicator with a good command of English
  • Strong systems skills with the ability to manage a customer database
  • Have a "sponge" mentality to take in the learnings every day
  • Strong attendance and time management skills
  • A good eye for detail with a high attention to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise a wide variety of tasks and go the extra mile where required
  • Love working as part of a team, also having the approach that 'the customer is always right' as we strive to deliver exceptional service

What's on offer
Full time hours, with a negotiated start and finish time (40 hours per week), and in return a competitive salary in line with the role of between $55,000 - $65,000 annually.
