The Opportunity
Our contact is seeking a dedicated Contract Engineer to join their Energy and Utilities team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the contract management and leadership of the ICC Contract Team, delivering both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, and supporting the Capital Works Lead.
The primary role will be the contract management and leadership of the ICC Contract team carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities and supporting the Capital Works lead.
The Contract Engineer will be expected to be involved in planning, organising, directing and controlling operations and maintenance activities and of all reporting staff to ensure that planned and reactive work is completed to the satisfaction of customers and all targets (financial, productivity, quality and safety) are met.
The Contract Engineer will be required to deliver all obligations and compliance under the maintenance contracts (minor capital works via maintenance contracts) and collaboratively enhance customer relationships.
What they are looking for
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering/maintenance position of responsibility
 - Ideally a relevant tertiary level water/engineering related qualification
 - New Zealand water industry experience ideally
 - An understanding of Contract Management skills associated with maintenance/utilities contracts
 - Understanding of, and experience with Job Management and Asset Management Systems
 - A basic understanding of contract Commercials including the ability to prepare progress and claim reports and to produce and interpret monthly financial reports to P&L level
 - Experienced with and strong commitment to health and safety initiatives
 - Ability to lead and work in a team
