About this role:
This organisation is looking for a highly skilled hands-on Construction Manager to oversee current projects. The role itself will be leading day-to-day activities with several projects, senior site and site manager reports.
In this role you will:
- Proactively monitor commercial and contractual issues and provide feedback
- Ensure projects costs are measured, monitored and agreed
- Have strong emphasis on OSH and compliance
- Have regular and ongoing contact with project team members, sub-contractors and other consultants
- Deal with the client and being key in all PCG meetings
Key success factors for this role require:
- A trade qualification or tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying or engineering.
- 10 + years’ experience in managing a mix of medium to large complex projects with NZ experience essential
- Strong networks
- Sound knowledge of relevant commercial construction legislation
- Ability to lead and performance manage construction teams to achieve agreed outcomes
- Solid programming skills and contract management skills
- Strong financial management with ability to drive cost accountability
- Outstanding relationship-building strengths with consultants and the client
