About the role
We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join an established team in an essential sector to drive the coordination and administration of key site compliance activities.As Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering and driving HSEQ compliance standards across key areas of the business within the Auckland region. You'll be used to dealing with competing priorities with good exposure to HSEQ systems.
Core aspects of the role include:
- Being an advocate for strong HSEQ Management Systems use, and drive better performance across all business activities.
- Driving accurate and effective record keeping in accordance with HSEQ Management Systems and Legislative requirements.
- Investigating hazards, incidents or unsafe acts as directed, and participate where instructed or deemed appropriate in the co-ordination of investigations to drive improvement, learnings and corrections where there is merit.
- Driving key internal and external stakeholder relationships in order to achieve collective compliance and quality outcomes
- Being comfortable working across many critical tasks such as risk analysis and assessment, HSEQ planning, auditing, corrective action planning, incident reporting and asset management to name a few.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be degree qualified in the sciences or one aspect of H&S, Environmental or Quality specialisations
- Have ideally 2+ years in a related field (H&S, Compliance, Environmental, Quality)
- Exposure to industrial settings and comfort in both corporate office and blue collar environments
- An ambitious and tenacious character, who values good structure, and hard work
