About the job
- This is a hands-on clinical role - coordination and supervision of resident care, providing leadership and support to RN’s, EN’s and care staff.
- Based in a 35 bedded hospital level care home in Lower Hutt. It is part of a 98 bed complex across 3 service levels which has achieved 4 year audit
- Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday ideal. However will consider Monday to Friday
- Hours normally 7am - 3.30pm although a later start and finish on admin days and when doctors are doing their rounds
- Key here is your ability to build culture on the floor, support initiatives and provide expert clinical oversight
- There is an on call component in collaboration with others.
Experience and attributes required
- Registered Nurse with current APC
- Genuine passion for the wellbeing of older people
- Excellent communication and the ability to support and lead your team
- Clinically strong
- Strong Aged care experience required. Ideally 5+ years experience with leadership experience (Unless you're a Hospital ACNM with genuine desire to transition into aged care)
- You’ll be a team player who is results focussed and committed to making a difference
