As Assistant Practice Manager, you will be assisting in being responsible for the effective leadership and smooth operation of this well respected, Urgent Care & GP Practice. The Practice employs in excess of 40 staff, and operates from a modern, spacious clinic in central Hamilton.
This is a key role – where you will be leading the team of health professionals and administrators and working closely with the Directors and other professionals to achieve the strategic, operational and financial objectives for the business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support the team
- Manage day to day operations and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Conduct Management and Staff meetings
- Manage workflow for the business
- HR including recruitment, performance reviews and performance management
- Payroll
- Lead Health and safety for the business
Key requirements:
- Strong business acumen with strong ethics and professionalism
- Well-developed people management skills
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ability to motivate, mentor and coach people
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite
- Highly organised and ability to meet deadlines
- Good understanding of legislation relevant to New Zealand businesses including Holiday Act
