Overseeing a team and managing compliance at Hospital Estates

• Responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant, including PPM and breakdown maintenance, major overhauls and replacement
• Managing daily the effective running of the CAFM system
• Responsible for identifying and employing Trust approved contractors to carry out maintenance work in the most efficient and economic manner. Including authorisation of payments to contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for supervision and management of contractors
• Support programs of work and ensure that all maintenance work is carried satisfactory, professionally and in line with statutory standards, NHS Policy and Trust SOP’s
• Assisting the Trust’s Operational Estates Managers and Head of Estates providing technical advice, recommendations and activities to ensure compliance with statutory standards, legislations, HTM’S, HGN’S and Approved Codes of Practice
• Placed orders for contractors to attend site and carry out breakdown maintenance or scheduled maintenance
• Delivery of internal department SLAs and KPIs
• Managed insurance inspections, subsequent reports and improvements required from reports to safeguard the Trust from adverse risk
• Assisting in the compilation and implementation of new policies that affect the Estates Department

Supervisor

Supervising a maintenance team of 4 engineers looking after Hospital Retained Estates

• Responsible for the day to day supervision of all directly employed maintenance staff including grounds, bank and agency employees
• Responsible for pre-planning and issuing out PPM and work requests daily
• Managing CAFM System (Concept), assigning PPM and reactive jobs to the engineers
• Reviewing contractor RAMS
• Carrying out site inductions for contractors, issuing permits to work (PTW)
• Carrying out weekly toolbox talks
• Managing subcontractors ensuring they are aware of hospital procedures. Signing off works once it has been deemed to be completed to an acceptable standard

Maintenance Electrician / Multi Skilled Engineer

Working as a part of a maintenance team looking after Hospital Retained Estates

• Ensured that routine maintenance (PPM) was carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems within the period issued
• Provide reports upon completion of each maintenance tasks for others to update Concept CAFM system
• Electrical installations, power and lighting circuits rewires
• Replacing filters, belts, and motors in AHU’s
• Managing the BMS
• Carried out monthly and yearly 3hr drain down for emergency lights
