As part of the Electronic Results Team for Cambridge International, I help in the systematic delivery of periodic releases, working in conjunction with other stakeholders to address and follow up on any queries and issues to ensure a smooth and efficient release. I utilise my excellent attention to detail to continuously review current practices and improve upon current best practice as and where needed, and teach these processes to members of the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering stakeholder queries
  • Writing and updating company procedures
  • Managing various records to ensure candidate results release
  • Utilising various programmes to ensure the most current data is used for reports

Operations Administrator

In this role, as part of the Malpractice Team, I work collaboratively with partners as a part of an essential process aimed at upholding the integrity of IELTS (International English Language Testing System). I scrutinise partner recommendation reports, asking for further investigation work and clarification as and when needed with the aim of making sure that no fraudulent test results are released. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to candidates from centres which closed, making their grades available to organisations such as universities, immigration departments and workplaces
  • Handling of partner and test taker queries via different mediums
  • Confirmation and processing of raw data to support third-party processes
  • Processing of test result information across a variety of platforms
  • Providing ad-hoc support to wider team when capacity allows

In this role, I utilised my attention to detail to both check and process candidate information using internal systems such as Citrix and EPS therein. I would confirm that entries were accurate which included processing amendments, would resolve transcription and candidate linking errors, and identify and escalate cases that I did not have the authorisation to correct myself. My responsibilities included:

  • Following set processes and procedures to meet targets and deadlines
  • Working within a team to ensure accuracy and efficiency of data processed
  • Utilising Microsoft Office to transfer and update candidate data

Cambridge International – Operations

In this separate placement to the above, I used my excellent attention to detail and previous office experience to follow changing guidance and procedures to make sure that examiners had adhered to the marking processes for international examination papers. I quickly learned how to use the systems required such as Citrix, EPS and the Remote Desktop, updated spreadsheets accurately and efficiently and reported errors when I found them. I also double-checked and audited work from team members, scanned documents for queries and further processing, and assisted with clerical checking while working to deadlines. Some of my key responsibilities were:

  • Finding and reporting errors in marking and on scripts
  • Logging data on multiple spreadsheets following various processes
  • Working as part of a team to make sure deadlines are met
  • Double-checking work by following processes and auditing completed work boxes

Depot Administrator

This role had a central focus on client case management in which I utilised excellent customer service skills to ensure prompt payment for company services. Using my strong organisational skills, I managed multiple cases at a time and used internal communications to ensure cases were shut promptly, both for the client and the company. In this role, I was responsible for:

  • Handling customer queries via telephone and email
  • Case management
  • Processing of financial information, including the generating of invoices
  • Utilising internal communications between departments to update records and ensure the smooth running of company processes
