Water Services Management: Proficient in the design and delivery of integrated water supply and sanitation interventions, with hands-on experience managing urban and rural WaSH programmes.
Programme and Contract Management: In-depth knowledge of development project implementation and contract oversight, with a successful track record in managing EU-funded initiatives.
Project Cycle Management: Certified experience in Project Cycle Management and Logical Framework Approach, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of programme design, appraisal, implementation, and evaluation.
Digital Tools: Computer literate with regular use of Microsoft 365 Suite.
Programme Manager - WaSH
Contribute to the overall identification, design, programming, implementation and monitoring of European Union (EU) financial and technical cooperation with Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the WaSH sector.
Contribute, in close co-operation with the beneficiary institutions in PNG, to the identification, programme design and appraisal of WASH programmes.Manage contracts, including milestones, budget tracking, payments, reporting, risks, contract variations, and performance of contractors; utilising EU’sInternational Development Cooperation management system (OPSYS).
Manage the monitoring of ongoing WASH projects ensuring compliance and consistency with EU quality standards.
Manage the evaluation of on-going programmes/projects, including programme/project completion activities.
Manage relationships with government agencies, contractors, private sector organisations, development partners, civil society and other stakeholders.
Represent the EU in information sharing meetings with other development partners (ADB, World Bank, Australia, New Zealand and JICA, UN Agencies) active in the WaSH sector.
Prepare briefs and speeches for the Ambassador and senior hierarchy.
