Financial Reporting & Analysis: Experienced in preparing statutory accounts, management reports, and forecasts using Xero and Excel to support decision-making and transparency for trustees and leadership teams.
Audit & Assurance: Qualified ACA with extensive background in external audits across a wide range of sectors (charities, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, education). Skilled in planning, execution and completion of audits to ICAEW standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Developed multi-year financial forecasts and annual budgets for diocesan and church organizations, ensuring robust financial planning and compliance.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Xero, Microsoft Excel, and audit software tools. Confident in leveraging digital systems to streamline reporting and strengthen internal controls.

Assistant Accountant
· Prepared financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024 for the 3 churches which make up Church Crawley (St. John’s, St. Richard’s and St. Peter’s)
· Set out budget for the year ended 31 December 2025 (2026 budget in progress at time of writing).
· Use Xero accounting software to assist with monthly management accounts – reporting on actual vs. budgeted income and expenditure and regular giving to the Parochial Church Council (who are the Trustees of the charity).
· Submit applications for grant funding to the Diocese (regional church), Love Your Neighbour charity and Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme.
· Process weekly payments via online banking with finance manager (dual authorization).
· Pay expenses to staff on a regular basis upon receipt of sufficient supporting evidence and line manager authorization.
· Count and pay in at bank cash receipts from church giving on Sundays.
