About this role:
We are looking for a dynamic Workshop Manager to steer our dedicated team towards even greater success. As the Workshop Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our workshop, ensuring our fleet is in top condition and our customers start their journeys safely and happily. You'll lead a versatile team of 10-30 professionals, managing budgets and resources to maintain our high standards.
You will:
- Oversee all mechanical servicing, ensuring legal compliance and high-quality standards
- Manage labour, product, and equipment costs within budget, contributing to the annual budget process
- Foster a culture of excellence, coaching and motivating your team to peak performance
- Maintain a 7-day leadership presence, ensuring smooth operations across all departments
- Lead recruitment and training, shaping a workforce that's skilled, efficient, and quality-driven
- Champion our Health and Safety system and contribute to our action plan
You Have:
- A Grade 3 level trade certification in mechanics
- A full, current driving license and at least 3 years of leadership experience in the automotive industry
- A knack for planning, organising, and executing departmental workloads
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and a track record of managing repairs and maintenance costs
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to inspire and unite a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
