Founded in 1951 Stevenson and Taylor (SNT) have been selling and servicing tractors and heavy machinery in Hawkes Bay for almost seven decades. From the outset our vision has been to be at the forefront of the industry and that's where we remain today. As well as the Service Department our unique dealership offers a fully equipped Engineering shop, full retail parts store and an Outdoor Equipment workshop all under one roof - setting us apart from our competitors.
What are we looking for
In this role, you will be an integral part of a motivated team of engineers, designing, building and maintaining equipment, primarily for the agricultural and transport sector. This is a permanent full-time position.
About you
- Technical experience with an established track record
- Proven hand tools/welding experience
- Trade qualified backed up by a solid background of experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve industrial mechanical issues onsite as required
- Engineering experience in heavy fabrication with structural steel
- Experience and capabilities in MIG and stick
- Ability to work from drawings, good attention to detail
- Continuous improvement orientation
- Working with and around apprentices
- Demonstrate commitment and tenacity to achieve results
- Knowledge of Health and Safety obligations
