Urgent Care/GP Nurse Prescriber

This employer is a busy Urgent Care & GP Clinic. They are a hybrid clinic with onsite Radiology and Pharmacy. The clinic is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.

They are looking for registered Nurse Prescribers to join their skilled team. You will be working closely with their supportive Urgent Care Doctors and Nurse Practitioners.

High quality patient care and minimizing waiting times for their Urgent Care patients is a focus for them. There are educational opportunities at their practice which is a training practice for doctors/nurses/nurse practitioners and paramedics.

Key tasks/duties:

1. To provide competent clinical care to their patients in a timely manner.
2. To enhance patient well being with a focus on preventative care as well as acute care in a culturally safe manner.
3. To maintain professional relationships with patients
4. To work collaboratively with colleagues

To be successful you must:

• Have a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing – Nurse prescribing relevant to primary care.
• Have previous experience in a Primary Healthcare setting/Urgent Care Clinic or Emergency Department .
• Be ACLS certified.
• Have an understanding of the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Knowledge of Medtech Evolution is an advantage but not necessary.
• Be committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A positive “can do” attitude in a variable and dynamic workflow environment.
