Technical Production Manager - uPVC Windows and Doors

Thermalframe is a long established and fast growing business that specialises in the sale, production and installation of double glazed uPVC window and door joinery for new build and replacement window projects.


Remuneration:
$85,000-$95,000 depending on experience


Hours:
45 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Job description:

To provide expert knowledge, assistance, and support to all departments in relation to the production of uPVC windows and doors. This role will be a mixture of office and factory work.



Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Cutting Sheets and works orders for projects using industry specific fenestration software
  • Keeping track of production process in conjunction with the planning team to ensure we are meeting production deadlines
  • Help streamline production efficiencies
  • Hands on fabrication and training to fabricators on best practise manufacturing techniques
  • Design and manufacture of jigs to speed up production efficiencies
  • Mathematical / Engineering calculations for specials
  • Production reporting
  • Machinery set up and ongoing maintenance / improvements / trouble shooting
  • Occasional assistance for on-site installation / remedial works
  • Over flow for inputting quotes using industry specific software
  • Developing technical literature ]

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Specialist knowledge and a high level of experience (5+ years) in the full production cycle of windows and doors
  • Mechanical engineering and machinery knowledge and experience
  • Proficient with the use of computers
  • Experience using window and door software
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Good health and physical condition
  • Desire to be an integral part of the company and to be a team player
  • Will be compliant with company standards,  health and safety requirements and is drug free
  • Willing to undergo police check
